  • Humanoid: Hedgehogs are humanoids with the animal-folk subtype. (0 RP)
  • Lowlight Vision:Hedgehogs can see twice as far as a race with normal vision in conditions of dim light. (1 RP)
  • Medium Size: Hedgehogs have no bonuses or negatives due to their size. (0 RP)

  • Keen Senses:Hedgehogs receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception skill checks. (2 RP)
  • Natural Armor (spines): A hedgehogs gain a +1 natural armor class bonus. These spines are treated as if they had armor spikes (see PHB). (2 RP)
  • Natural Attack (spines): Hedgehogs are able to stiffen their spines to use them as weapons (see armor spikes in the PHB). (1 RP)
    • Toxic Spines: Hedgehogs gain the following extraordinary ability: A number of times per day equal to its Constitution modifier (minimum 1/day), a hedgehog can envenom its spines as a swift action. (1 RP)
      • Weakening Venom: Injury;save Fort DC 10 + 1/2 the user’s Hit Dice + the user’s Constitution modifier; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d2 Strength; cure 1 save.
    • Craftsman: Hedgehogs gain a +2 racial bonus on all Craftor Profession checks to create objects from wood. (1 RP)
    • Urbanite: Hedgehogs gain a +2 racial bonus on Diplomacychecks made to gather information and Sense Motive checks made to get a hunch about a social situation. (1 RP)
    • Linguist: Common and Hedgin. Bonus: Astralus, Elven, Gnome, Lutran, Terran, and Sylvan. (1 RP)

  • Gregarious: Hedgehogs are naturally charming and social. Whenever hedgehogs use Diplomacy to win over an individual, that creature takes a -2 penalty on attempts to resist any of the hedgehogs’ Charisma-based skills for the next 24 hours. Replaces craftsman.
  • Curiosity (lesser): Hedgehogs are naturally inquisitive about the world around them. They gain a +2 bonus onDiplomacy checks to gather information, and Knowledge (history) and Knowledge (local) become class skills for them. If they choose a class that has either of these Knowledge skills as class skills, they gain a +2 racial bonus on those skills instead. Replaces urbanite.
