2020 was a long year. There were many problems here, mostly caused by Covid-19, but it’s finally over. Many deaths occurred, riots, lockdowns, food and other shortages, wildfires, droughts, hurricanes, flooding, etc. Trump lost the election to Biden, but won’t except the defeat. More riots over this.
Many places are still closed down or going out of business. The businesses that have evolved are either thriving or struggling to get by. The ones that went mostly online, and have satellite employees seem to be doing well.
Some people are getting depressed about being isolated and not being able see their friends and family, or not going out shopping and eating. It’s hard for many people, some are even committing suicide from the pressure.
It’s now 2021, this year needs to be better. There is now a vaccine, but until they improve it I can’t take it because of my food allergies and asthma. We are still wearing masks in public. There are many asymptomatic people around, many are still getting sick, but not as many are dying (at least it’s not on the news as much anymore).
People are rioting about the election, and earlier this week some of them stormed the Capitol building. Supposedly they were trying to stop the certification of the vote and swearing Biden into office. They took the senate floor before they were stopped. The electoral votes were already taken out of the building to safety by some aides, when the senate and congress were evacuated.
Four people were shot, at least one was killed. Some were jailed others were just herded out of the building. I’m not sure how many will be jailed, or what they will be tried for. For the ones that breached the building, they should be charged with domestic terrorism, as well as Trump for egging them on. For the ones that only protested though, this is allowed under the freedom of speech.
